B Pharmacy (Bachelor of Pharmacy) is a job-oriented graduate degree for science students who want to make a career in the pharmacy sector. Students study about various subjects like Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacy Management etc. As per the B. Doctor of Pharmacy Post – Baccalaureate (Pharm. D PB)
Primary focus of Pharmacy education in India has been on the pharma industry since its inception. Globalization and increasing western influence have led the Pharmacy Council of India introducing Pharm. D. in 2008, with pharmaceutical care as its primary educational focus. Pharm. D. is the first professional degree, and a prerequisite for licensing to practice as a pharmacist in many countries.
